Leadership & Learning Case Study

We worked with a large County Council to the support implementation of a new competency-based performance management framework. The change was designed to improve accountability and delivery against outcomes within a significantly reduced financial envelope. Working with a range of stakeholders and other providers, our role was to support the implementation of competency based appraisal at all levels of management. Central to the project was increasing the ability to manage behaviour as well as task based performance, to make explicit links between corporate strategy and delivery on the ground and equip appraisers with the tools needed to effectively use performance appraisal as the central tool in driving the change.
